Qualification:

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Biostatistics or related field.

One (1) year practical experience as Biostatistician.

Background in Computer and statistical software packages and applications.

 

Preferred:

Experience in Medical Research publication, participation in research projects.

 

 Job Summary:

Be responsible for the review of statistical/data management of all clinical studies submitted

for possible publication in Saudi Medical Journal.

 

Duties And Responsibilities:

Correct and provide optimal method of sample size, data collection tools,

analysis and interpretation of statistical data for all clinical studies submitted for possible publication.

Submit initial assessment for authors and send it to Editorial Assistant to complete necessary action.

Review the statistics of the revised manuscripts within the given deadline, and in its final stages before it goes to print.

Respond to comments on published articles concerning statistical analysis.

Attend departmental meetings, as requested.

Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

Training of the staff in basic statistics.

Develop weekly, monthly, and yearly reports production, and prepare statistical checklist.
