There was a significant correlation between male and female IDA cases with positive H. pylori with regard to all hematological parameters (p=0.001). Serum iron concentration and serum ferritin levels were significantly lower in female H. pylori-positive IDA patients than in male H. pylori-positive IDA patients (p=0.001).
